Who Can Host?
The short answer is you.
American Teacher is initially scheduled for theatrical release in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Already, leaders in other areas of the country are volunteering to host community screenings. Don't miss your opportunity to join these leaders and show this important film in your community.
As the Exclusive Community Screening Partner for American Teacher, Microsoft Partners in Learning is providing the resources necessary for any educator, school administrator, concerned parent, community leader or non-profit organization to host a screening.
Why Should I Host?
There are nearly 100,000 schools in the United States. Each represents a community in which teachers are striving to provide the skills students need to thrive in the 21st century. And in each of those communities, teachers face challenges – some shared, some unique – in achieving their goals.
Microsoft Partners in Learning is proud to be the Exclusive Community Screening Sponsor of American Teacher so that the film, and the experiences of the educators featured, spark a conversation about how we value teaching in the United States.
Everyone in the United States can engage in this critical conversation through our Community Screenings program. While news media coverage might carry forward the themes reflected in the film, the power of viewing the film and discussing the issues creates a fundamentally greater impact.
Open a dialogue about how your community can honor and reward effective teachers today, and engage and attract the next generation of teachers tomorrow.
